The third and final stage of the Tour of Chongming Island brought the curtain down on the 2026 WWT calendar!
With 50km remaining, Talbot, Vanpachtenbeke, and Zhou formed a three-rider breakaway that animated the front of the race. Their advantage was kept under tight control, never exceeding one minute as Human Powered Health and UAE Team ADQ shared driving duties in the peloton. The trio was ultimately reabsorbed with 35km to go.
A late counter-attack with 20km remaining saw B. Němcová and Roseman-Gannon launch a bold bid to deny the sprinters. The duo put up a serious threat to the chasing bunch, holding off the peloton until they were caught just 4km from the line, setting up an inevitable final bunch sprint.
L. van Belle, who will line up alongside Lorena Wiebes in the Madison at the upcoming Track World Championships, delivered a textbook lead-out for the Dutch superstar. Wiebes launched her sprint and proved unbeatable once again, completing a clean sweep of all three stages to claim the overall general classification! The victory brings her season tally on the road to an astonishing 24 wins, though her competitive campaign continues seamlessly as she transitions straight to the velodrome for the World Championships in Shanghai. Lara Gillespie crossed the line in second, once again running Wiebes extremely close. Gillespie's standout week nets crucial UCI points for UAE Team ADQ, putting them on the brink of overtaking FDJ–SUEZ in the season-ending team rankings. China's Xin Tang rounded out the Stage 3 podium in third, while Clara Copponi secured third place in the final overall general classification.
